Our serums and toners can address specific skin concerns, but are not always necessary. Here are the three most important steps you should follow to take optimal care of your skin:
1. Cleanse your face
It's super important to cleanse your face daily, morning and night. This will help remove daily pollution, makeup and SPF and prevent your skin from becoming clogged, which can lead to breakouts and blackheads. Cleanse once in the morning and twice in the evening if you've worn makeup or SPF.
Best Cleansers: Cream cleansers are great because they are oil-based and effectively remove makeup and SPF, but are lightweight and easy to rinse off.
Pro tip: For a really good cleaning experience, use a warm, damp cloth to remove your cleaner.
2. Skin Moisturizing
Moisturizers are essential for the health of your skin. They lock in moisture and help keep your skin healthy and balanced. Nourishing but lightweight textures are a good choice all year round and generally suit all skin types.
Best moisturizers: For very dry skin or the colder months, choose a thicker, richer cream. If you have oilier skin, try a lightweight gel cream.
Pro tip: If you have oily skin and want to avoid layering SPF and moisturizer, you can use one hydrating SPF instead of two separate products. You can then use your moisturizer at night. Just remember to apply enough SPF.
3. Skin protection with SPF
SPF is a must in any skincare routine. No matter what the weather is like, harmful UV rays are always there. Applying a high factor sunscreen daily will protect your skin and prevent premature aging.
